Justice and Jay-Z - ‘On To The Next Dance’

In case you didn’t know, like I didn’t until a week ago, Hovi’s new single ‘On To The Next One’ samples a version of the Justice song ‘DANCE’. Subsequently someone has put together this little video that combines the two, pretty great.

There’s something insane about this video of Korea’s most popular pop group practicing their dance routine for their new single and I can’t exactly figure out what it is.

The good news is, at least as all of the older (and I mean, I’m 26 now, so I can’t really talk) dudes are watching this thing, none of the girls are in high school anymore — the youngest one graduated from high school in the Winter.

I think this song is my favorite Mariah Carey song of all time, it’s definitely in the top 3.

Just Blaze and Angela Yee make a beat

Last night was the closing “thing” for Baseline Studios, the home of Just Blaze and the place where almost all of the important and good Roc-A-Fella albums were made.

One of the more improbable moments was when radio personality Angela Yee told Just that she wanted to “make a beat”, which led to the video above where Justin used the samples he currently had saved (from Justice’s ‘DANCE’) and made a little beat.

A-Trak feat. Drake and Birdman - ‘Loonies to Blow’

I don’t know if I’m insane, or if I’ve been watching too much Jersey Shore or what, but I cannot stop listening to this song and think that this beat is just bananas.

The word ”loonies” in the title is a reference to what people in ~~Montreal~~ ALL OF CANADA call one dollar coins. So instead of ‘Money to Blow’, which is what the original song is called, the remix is ‘Loonies to Blow’. So I guess that’s multiple levels of service-y right there.

UPDATE: Hat tip to this Jaime Leigh person for cluing me on the terminology for Canada’s monies.
