I just saw Bobby Flay win a throwdown.

The category was hot dogs and the competitor was Pink’s in LA.

Pink’s made a terrible decision by, at the last minute, trying to match Bobby’s creativity and adding guacamole to their classic chili cheese dog which the judges called ‘watery’.

It seemed kind of unfair though, in that Bobby, a classicly trained chef, was going against this family-run fast food restaurant that had much lower quality ingredients (in their condiments, not the dogs) and just not as well prepared toppings— he had made his own guacamole, slaw, and roasted red pepper salsa from scratch. He also looked like he felt really bad about winning.

An update to this previous post.

ALSO, why the f does Time Warner Cable not offer FoodNetworkHD?! You’re telling me people don’t want to see Giada’s big-ass dome in hi-def?
