How to hypothetically download Friday Night Lights not legally (if you were so inclined)
THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I DO, but a lot of people have asked me how someone might do this, so I thought I would share.
- Download a program that will let you use a torrent file to download something over the BitTorrent network - I’ve heard good things about Transmission (for Mac), not sure what to use for Windows but I’m sure if you google it you can find something.
- Go to either Mininova or The Pirate Bay and search for “Friday Night Lights” (or whatever other TV show, movie, program you’re looking for).
- Within the results, sort by “seeds”, that’s how many people are currently sending out the file, and choose the one that has the highest number of seeds, and thus the potentially quickest download time. Note: Downloading the torrent file itself should be very fast, it’s a small file.
- Download and open the torrent (it should automatically run whatever torrent downloading program you downloaded before) and you should see a download start to go go go.
- When the download’s done, just go to the folder where it downloaded and, “voila!” your file should be there (5b. You may need to download some codecs to make the file work properly, if you get Divx that might be all you need, if it still doesn’t work, download VLC or mPlayer - again for Mac)
Anyways, that’s how you COULD potentially download Friday Night Lights off the internet. There are other streaming options as well (google it), but for the highest quality viewing, this is what I would recommend- but know that this is VERY ILLEGAL.
