Mr. Hudson - ‘White Lies’

This song is pretty good, and based on what I’ve heard so far, I think I’m excited about this album!

On a slightly unrelated note, I met Mr. Hudson once in passing, and he seemed like a really nice guy. Which made me think, if you had a nice guy like this who’s pretty talented, why wouldn’t you (the person in charge of marketing his music) just do a ton of junkets where he sits down with bloggers/people who write a lot on the internet and just do a serious meet and greet where the writers feel a sort of investment towards the artist and his success. It seems like this would be an easy way to get a lot of positive support (and turn a lot of detractors) at a low-to-negligible cost.

Even the meanest people on the internet, when they feel a sense of kinship with their target, will tend to be less horrible, because: a) they like that they’re friendly with a famous person, and b) it’s hard to be a jerk to someone when you think they’ll read it or someone they know will read it.

Why isn’t this happening!?
