The users could keep growing: 200 million users is in realm of possibility, and that justifies the valuation.

This is a quote from the PaidContent coverage of the phonecall with Kevin Johnson from Microsoft (President of Platforms) and Owen Van Natta from Facebook (Chief Revenue Officer) and what it essentially means is that a goal “in realm of possibility” valuates an individual user at $75 each. Which to me seems a little expensive, obviously this will probably increase as the overall worth of Facebook, realistically, goes up, at some point in the near-to-not-so-near future, but still, come on, that’s your reasoning on this conference call that’s going to be dissected by everyone on the internet?

Meh, but what do I know, there’s obviously a lot of more considerate math  and strategic thinking that took place to make this deal a reality.  It just seems like a lot to pay for not that much at this current juncture, but I guess they assume that it will only continue to go up. (link)
