Michael Jackson feat. Jay-Z - ‘You Rock My World’

This is my homage to Michael Jackson, and it’s not even my favorite rap remix from this album (Invincible)— he had a version of ‘Butterflies’ with Eve on it that is pretty bananas.

Random MJ memories:

• I saw him in concert in Korea (the Michael Jackson and Friends show) in 1999, when I was in high school; it was a pretty good billing that included: Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, some other groups, and a local pop group.
• In 2001, my freshman year of college, despite ridicule from my hallmates, I remember staying in on a Wednesday night to watch MTV premiere the video for ‘Rock Your World’ starring Chris Tucker (they were pretty close at the time, “DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORDS THAT ARE COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH?!” lol) and Marlon Brando.
• In 2003, Maya Angelou’s 75th birthday party was thrown by Oprah Winfrey (BFFz!!) in Winston Salem. I was working for a catering company that did parties like that and it was a whole weekend of activities. On that Saturday night, there was a dance party type thing and Quincy Jones was there and I got to see him dancing/bobbing his head to ‘Rock With You’ and ‘Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough’. Also, Oprah drinks like a horse, Jack on the rocks at like 11am, pretty awesome.
